The  Code Innovation Team

As pioneers in ICT4D and early contributors to the Digital Principles, we know the power that diversity of backgrounds and viewpoints can bring to the workplace. Our extended team of developers come from six continents, work in Agile and build everything free and open source.

nathaniel calhoun, co-founder

Nathaniel works on educational projects that leverage technology to bring about a more equitable world. The bulk of his experience comes on the ground in Sub-Saharan Africa, where he helps NGO’s, Government Ministries and other partners to improve the impact and reach of their educational programming. Through his work alongside the Innovations team at UNICEF and his affiliation with Singularity University in Silicon Valley, Nathaniel stays on top of emergent, experimental technologies and approaches, paying special attention to those with the most promise for low-income environments.

Nathaniel has now advised school districts and officials (of virtual and brick and mortar environments) across three continents and with remarkably diverse student circumstances. He enjoys helping to bridge the gap of information and field knowledge that routinely exists between inventors and the communities that they would like to impact.
